Crystal Killion is a freelance writer and mother of five. She has worked with children in various capacities for over 20 years as a daycare provider, preschool teacher, foster and adoptive parent, and child advocate. Her passion is working with children who have been abused or neglected. Currently, Crystal is employed as a Crisis Specialist with TFI Family Services, Inc.

As a writer, Crystal has written several newsletter articles for non-profit organizations, and contributed articles online to: Associated Content, Rainbow Kids, and Busy Mommy- to name a few.

In April 2008, she was awarded the Editor's Choice Award at Suite 101 for her article on Post-Adoption Depression.

In her spare time, Crystal enjoys reading, writing, researching, volunteering, and spending time with her family.
